Projects
I’ve had the privilege of working on several business ventures over the past 10 years and work with some great people that have worked along side me and made them happen. Here is a list of a few ventures in no particular order.
House Plans
ThePlanCollection.com is now one of the leading online brokers of stock house plans in the industry. Jaren Taylor, Justin Ball and I founded this business back in 1999 and have spent countless hours building it since. With over 18,400 house plans to choose from, you should be able to find a great home to fit your needs in just about every style.
Direct Door Hardware
Sure_loc, Schlage, Emtek, Kwikset, Weiser, Baldwin and pretty much any other brand of door hardware can be found and purchased from Direct Door Hardware. This business was started in 2003 with only Sure-Loc brand hardware and has grown into a leading door knob and home hardware supplier on the web. Everyone needs door knobs, may as well get good looking ones.
Pure Offroad
Pure Offroad offers a wide variety of atv accessories and motocross gear. I started this business in 2007 with my brother Spence. He’s the man when it comes to atv and motocross gear so this is his baby.
Direct Home Garden
Started back in 2004. Direct Home Garden offers a large variety of cupolas, weathervanes and other decorative items for the home and garden.
Direct Door Knobs
Also started in 2004. Over the years this website has grown quite a bit and now offers a huge variety of home hardware products for home owners, home builders or decorators. This website currently runs on the Americommerce platform.
England Design Company
Stock House Plans for sale from back in the days when I designed homes for a living. These plans are also marketed on The Plan Collection and several other online brokerage firms.
Other Ventures:
Speculative home construction
Helped found and Fold a window covering business
I read somewhere that the average number of businesses started by millionaires before becoming millionaires was 13. I’m getting up there… does that mean my boat is about to come in?
