excels at mediocrity

I’m Jake. I have a great wife, 3 daughters and a son. I operate (and help operate) several online businesses and occasionally find time for some fun. When I do find the time I like to ski, snowboard, bike, tinker with my cruisers or get into the mountains with my family whether it be camping, atvs, hiking or just taking a drive.

I hope to do something worthwhile in my life. I’ve decided that I can try really hard to make an impact in my workplace [and i do try], but in the end the odds of me changing the world – as pessimistic as it may sound – are slim. The reality is, I’ll have a greater impact on the lives of my kids than anyone else. So my best chance of doing something worthwhile is to be the best dad that I can be. As a result, I strive to be less of a workaholic these days, and a better Dad. 

Thats the way I see it anyway, so i’m sticking to it.
